Before I came to Micaela’s Home, I was very scared. I didn’t like myself, I wanted to shower all the time and scrub myself. I didn’t like to look at myself and I wanted to change. Now my head is good. I feel that things are beautiful. I have been reborn. The future is beautiful. It’s new and open to me.

Leave a legacy in your will

Leaving a legacy in your will helps us plan more securely for the future. You should seek advice from a solicitor and you’ll need to include our full name (Rahab Project Ltd) and registered charity number (1132250). You can find a solicitor in your area through the Law Society.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer we may be able to reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate. To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax, the tax on any pension or capital gains tax, must at least equal the amount claimed in the tax year.

To add gift aid to donations not made through our donation system you can complete the form below. Alternatively you can download a PDF version and return it to us by post or by email. The declaration must be in one name only. You can cancel this declaration at any time by contacting us.

Gift aid declaration form

All fields are required unless stated

  • I am a UK taxpayer and want Rahab to treat all qualifying donations I have made in the last four years from today’s date, and all donations I will make in the future, as Gift Aid donations.
  • If I pay less income tax and or capital gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations I understand it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
  • I understand that any tax refund received by Rahab will be made at the basic rate. If I pay income tax at the higher or additional rate, and want to receive the additional tax relief due to me, I will include all my Gift Aid donations on my Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust my tax code.
  • If my circumstances change and I no longer pay tax on my income and capital gains equal to the tax that Rahab reclaims from my donations, I must notify Rahab and cancel this declaration.
  • If I change my name or address I will notify Rahab.

Wish list for donations in kind

We often receive very kind offers of donations for everything from toiletries and baby clothes, to furniture and even Christmas gifts, which we dearly value.

If you’re thinking of donating, please get in touch so we can let you know what we currently need.

Rahab genuinely cares about women who live a very different life from most. Reaching out to them is done with sensitivity, respect and practical support. I hope the charity continues to be around for many years to come.

Our promise to you

We will use your donation responsibly and be accountable and transparent. If you would like your donation to go towards a particular aspect of our work, please let us know.

We will make the best use of our income by funding work that has a demonstrable impact on the lives of the women we support while keeping our administrative costs to a minimum.

We are accountable for all our finances through the publication of an annual report, including a financial statement.

Our response to COVID-19

During the coronavirus crisis our priority is to continue to support the women while making sure that we all stay safe and protected during what are difficult and challenging times for so many people.

We are taking on new referrals and in regular contact with the women to address their concerns and evolving needs as the situation progresses. We are also working with colleagues to improve the broader response and access to support.

Given the health risks we are presently unable to offer face to face meetings, but will return to a full service when the emergency level is lifted. You can meanwhile contact us in the usual way and we will do our best to help.

Please visit GOV.UK for advice and guidance about Coronavirus.
